Prista 3 is a high-yielding Bulgarian alfalfa variety, created by the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science "Obratzov Chiflik" - Ruse, characterized by fast growth, high protein content and disease resistance.

Prista 3 is a standard variety of the Executive Agency for Variety Testing, Approbation and Seed Control (IASAS), created by a team of authors at the Institute of Agriculture and Seed Science "Obratzov Chiflik" - Ruse.

The plant has a nearly erect stem 70–90 cm tall and 6–9 internodes, and the inflorescence is medium compact, slightly elongated, with dark blue to light purple petals.

The mass of 1000 seeds is 1.8–2.2 g. The variety is resistant to root rot, recovers quickly after mowing and in favorable years gives 5–6 cuttings.

It contains 20.53–21.96% crude protein and outperforms the Nadezhda 2 variety by 18.7% in dry matter yield and by 15.4% in seed yield, making it an excellent choice for hay, haylage and green mass production.
